Founded in 2013, the LGCA cluster is the regional point of reference for the growth of the bioeconomy, working with local authorities to mobilise eco-industry actors and the scientific community. The cluster ecosystem comprises over 50 public and private entities in the agri-food, green energy, and fine chemicals sectors. It promotes the use of renewable biological resources to produce food, feed, advanced materials, and energy by supporting public and private innovators in technology transfer and the creation of new international business opportunities, stimulates interregional demonstration cases by increasing the value and number of biobased products on the market and support innovation support policies, in particular the implementation of the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3).

Anteja ECG (ANTEJA), Slovenia
Anteja is a sustainability consultancy specialising in designing and implementing innovation strategies and circular business models. Its forward-looking approach involves more efficient use of natural resources, environmental concerns, and social dimensions in the development of policy, strategies, and business models. Anteja tackles climate change and social inequalities, minimises environmental risks, and creates value for businesses and stakeholders along value chains. It specialises in digitalising sustainable value chains globally and researches technological possibilities to enable companies from different sectors to utilise all their bioresources, including waste.

Fundación Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (FCTA), Spain
FCTA is the multi-sector innovation cluster of Andalusia with national and international activity. It helps companies, administrations, and universities plan an R&D&I strategy aligned with their needs. From identifying R&D&I needs to formulating projects to solve them or searching for partners and financing, it accompanies companies in their innovation projects. It is the strategic ally to transform the results achieved into business and a successful partner in international innovation projects. FCTA is a private foundation with more than 170 member companies and 17 years of experience, originally promoted by the Junta de Andalucía and privately managed, and is dedicated to fostering technological innovation.

Alchemia-nova research & innovation gemeinnützige GmbH (ANRI), Austria
The Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Seville is a research centre linked to the Higher Council of Scientific Research of the State Agency (CSIC). It investigates using and conserving natural resources, soil, water and plants, particularly arid and semi-arid areas, to respond to problems arising from their exploitation. The Plant Biomass: use and Valorization Group is involved in ROBUSTOO.

Kärntner Betriebsansiedlungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft m.b.H. (BABEG), Austria
BABEG - Kärntner Betriebsansiedlungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft m.b.H. is the location agency of the state of Carinthia and aims to strengthen the business location in the long term. As a driving force for research, technology and innovation, we pursue projects in the knowledge triangle of "education, research and business", support the establishment of international companies, provide industrial and commercial space and hold strategic investments in technology parks and non-university competence centers.

Startup Europe Regions Network (SERN), Belgium
Established in October 2015, SERN has grown from a handful of organisations to 60 organisations in its network, covering almost all of Europe, plus countless partners we work with to complement in-house expertise. It works to reinforce the links between stakeholders who build and scale up the startup ecosystems at a regional level in Europe, promoting a culture of startup-friendly regions aligned with the ‘Startup Europe’ initiative of the European Commission and its priorities. SERN offers a unique interconnected space for collaboration between regional authorities, innovation and development agencies, universities, and associations that support entrepreneurship and startup growth across Europe.

PDR – International Design and Research Centre is an impact-driven award-winning design consultancy and research centre at Cardiff Metropolitan University. In the latest Research Excellence Framework, PDR’s research received an overall four-star score - the highest rating possible and 5th in place for the UK’s Art and Design Research out of 86 institutions. PDR has won multiple international design awards including iF, Red Dot, Good Design, German Design Award, IDEA, and San Francisco Design Awards, as well as the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for excellence in Higher and Further Education.
PDR is a team of multidisciplinary designers and researchers operating in the space of user-centred design, ecodesign, service design, policy design, product design, and surgical design. Our unique blend of practical design and academic rigour has allowed us to partner with some of the most widely recognised organisations in the world. This includes working with many blue-chip companies, leading universities and government departments.
