PDR – International Design and Research Centre is an impact-driven award-winning design consultancy and research centre at Cardiff Metropolitan University. In the latest Research Excellence Framework, PDR’s research received an overall four-star score - the highest rating possible and 5th in place for the UK’s Art and Design Research out of 86 institutions. PDR has won multiple international design awards including iF, Red Dot, Good Design, German Design Award, IDEA, and San Francisco Design Awards, as well as the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for excellence in Higher and Further Education.
PDR is a team of multidisciplinary designers and researchers operating in the space of user-centred design, ecodesign, service design, policy design, product design, and surgical design.
