Boosting SMEs' Sustainability and Circular Innovation

On April 2nd, the European project SYMBIO held a technical workshop titled "Boosting SMEs' Sustainability and Circular Innovation: Strategies, Tools, and Promotion for a Resilient Future" at the headquarters of Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA) in Seville. This event aimed to provide participating companies with practical tools and opportunities to transition towards sustainable circular value chains tailored to their regional specificities.

The workshop featured contributions from SYMBIO partners ANTEJA and LGCA, as well as representatives from the Andalusian circular economy ecosystem, including OPERA GREEN, BIOMIXING, the University of Seville, Ecogestiona S. Coop, and 4i.ai.

The agenda was divided into two thematic blocks. The first, "Advancing Circular Value Chains," included a presentation by ANTEJA on the digital tool Value Chain Generator (VCG.AI). This innovative platform leverages artificial intelligence to connect individuals, companies, or institutions with complementary interests, needs, or skills, regardless of their location or sector. Practical examples demonstrated how local waste materials, such as rice straw or olive pomace, can be transformed into high-value sustainable products.
